Information We Collect
MiniZMods does not collect personal information beyond what you voluntarily provide when signing up for the email list.
If you subscribe via the email form, your email address is stored by our email provider (Kit). We do not store it independently.
Email List
Email addresses collected through the subscribe form are used solely to send MiniZMods updates: new guides, parts notes, and site announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
Analytics
MiniZMods uses two analytics tools to understand which guides are most useful:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): loaded with Consent Mode v2. Analytics cookies are blocked by default and only set after you accept the cookie banner. GA4 collects page views, traffic sources, approximate location (country/region), device type, and browser. IP addresses are anonymized. Data is aggregated; we see trends, not individuals. You can opt out by clicking Decline on the cookie banner, or by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Plausible Analytics: self-hosted at
analytics.five30am.com. Plausible is a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. There is nothing to opt out of because there is nothing to identify you with.
Neither tool is used for advertising. We do not sell or share analytics data.
Affiliate Links
Product links may be affiliate links. Clicking them may set cookies from the affiliate retailer (e.g., Amazon). Refer to each retailer's privacy policy for details on their cookie practices.
Third Parties
Google Analytics is loaded from Google Tag Manager. Google's privacy policy applies to those requests. Plausible is self-hosted on infrastructure we control. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
